In recent years, Dr. Mark Dekutoski works with CORE Institute in Arizona, where he looks to be very satisfied as he is getting things done that move the field of orthopedic surgery forward. Before he began working with CORE, Dr. Dekutoski practiced medicine at the Mayo Clinic, where he was also chairman of the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and also developed that school’s orthopedic curriculum, which is one of the best in the country.
At other times, Dr. Mark Dekutoki has served as chair of the educational committees for the Scoliosis Research Society and AOSpine North America. He is also a member of North American Spine Society and Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. There are many reasons why the CORE Institute actively recruited Dr. Mark Dekutoski to join them and help them move medicine forward. His appealing combination of extremely high level of research prowess with his ability to treat patients with compassion made him a very desirable acquisition. They also appreciate his willingness to bring forth the next generation of orthopedic surgeons, by showing them the newest methods for treating patients in a way that leads patients to create a healthier, more fulfilling life.
